Future Sluts of America

April 9th, 2008

FSA’s as we like to call them. Well, here you go. I read this story last night where 6 teenage girls beat the living fuck out of this other girl. 6 girls and 2 guys (who stayed outside to watch the door). All because this girl was “trash talking” on MySpace and text messages. They beat her so bad that they knocked her unconscious, and when she woke up, she took another beat down from all 6 girls. Apparently these 6 girls had her come to their house (one of them) so they could unload on her. She had to go to the ER for a concussion, lacerations, loss of hearing and blurry vision. She has still not recovered completely in the local hospital.

These girls today… what in the hell has happened to them?! They aren’t the well respected ladies they should be. It makes me sick to my stomach that they would do this to a girl. The sheriff said that he wants all the teenagers to be tried as adults. I hope they throw the fucking book at them and get hit with aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and kidnapping. These teenage girls ranged from 14-18 for god sakes.

Seriously, people should look at what RAP music does to a persons mentality. I had been doing a lot of research on it, and I found a website that said that certain tones and pitches can settle your brainwaves and calm your entire body, and other tones and pitches (like cRAP music) can actually invoke your brain to produce different chemicals that will actually make you angry and upset.

What Have I Been Up To?

April 2nd, 2008

Not a whole lot really. I’m back to being a gym rat for the most part. I’m in the gym 5 days a week now and have been consistent about it for the past month. Its really the only good way to just get away from a busy life. Things have been very busy at work, which is good because it provides me with something new to learn and kills a lot of time very quickly.

I have decided to basically drop any desire I had in the field of Cisco networks or networking and concentrate my studies in security. Good ol’ Xerox has paid for the book that my manager and I requested, and after reading a few chapters so far, I really like the book. The security aspect in the IT world is still fairly new - mainly because its so complex that nobody even wants to bother getting into the security field. So far, I find this shit fascinating and worthwhile. The book we ordered is by my favorite publisher - Sybex. I used Sybex books to study for my Microsoft and Cisco exams, and the way they lay it out for you is great and easy to understand. My end goal here is to be CISSP certified, which is a very difficult certification to earn - but its well worth the mental stress. But we have to take baby steps and start from the bottom. The first test is Security+ by CompTIA. This certification actually helps me out even more because I can use it as an elective for my MCSE.

And We Are Back

March 31st, 2008

While the front end of my blog looked fine and dandy, the backend was a mess. Somehow the admin side just…. crashed. All the tables in MySQL for the admin side was either corrupted or just straight broke. So after messing around with it for a week, I simply gave in and emailed my hosting company and asked them to restore from a tape backup. So if you left a comment after March 22nd, its gone lol. But its good to see everything is working - I made a backup for sure now :)
